We set out to solve a problem: Too many commercial Crestron dealers struggle to maintain a workable solution for their programming needs. Subcontracting programming to a Crestron Services Provider (CSP) can be a great solution for some projects, but can also be costly when you’re doing a lot of smaller jobs. Hiring and keeping a highly-qualified staff programmer is a huge investment. And sending an AV tech to Crestron classes can work, but often doesn’t.
Having an AV tech learn Crestron programming has some big advantages, but it puts a lot of pressure on that person. With no programming codebase to work from, and no senior programmer to answer questions, this tech is often set up for failure. Still, there are real advantages to having one of your techs also be your programmer…
That’s where The LiquidPixel Group comes in. We’re a group of programmers – some on staff and some at member companies – who all benefit from a shared codebase and the guidance of a senior programmer. Every programmer in the Group has unlimited access to the same library of interface templates, modules, and programs. We call this the LPG Codebase, and it’s what allows all of our programmers to work efficiently and to program systems that work reliably.
It’s still absolutely critical that you hire the right people, with the drive to learn and excel at programming. The LPG Codebase is not a “configuration tool” that any AV tech can use (we’ve found that solution to be far too limited). Instead, we provide a foundation for your skilled programmers to build on. The right tools in the hands of the right people – that’s our solution.
